CDET Accreditation for the College

We are absolutely delighted to announce that our College, D&B School of Performing Arts has been granted full accreditation by the Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET).

This process which has been going on for the last two years involved in-depth analysis of all of our timetables, teacher’s credentials and graduate destination. All of our students were required to take a survey giving their feedback into the course. The final step in the accreditation procedure was a comprehensive and thorough inspection by 5 industry experts who observed classes and conducted meetings with core teachers and the management team in May of this year. As expected, our students and staff proved what we know to be true of the College, which is that we offer exceptional vocational training in Musical Theatre, including dance, singing and drama. The college is now listed amongst 25 national Colleges that have passed the rigorous testing, and is one of the 7 London Colleges that are accredited (That list includes Bird College, English National Ballet School, London Studio Centre and Urdang Academy.)

This has topped off a phenomenal year here at D&B as we’ve watched our graduates go on to star in West End Shows and National Tours as well as appearing in top Television Dramas and Feature Films and with an exceptionally talented student body here, we are sure that they too are destined for wonderful things.
