Sonny Simpson films for Vision Express Commercial

Catch our client Sonny channelling his inner Billy Elliot as he dons his Ballet shoes on this vision express commercial starring Julie Walters.

The most recent iteration of the optician’s ‘Eye Witness’ initiative sees Walters take a look at how the way she views the world has shaped her experiences. Awarded ‘Ad of the day’, the spot is soundtracked by T-Rex’s I Love to Boogie (which you will recognise from the D&B phone line!) and stresses the importance of healthy eyesight.

The visually rich ad takes viewers on a journey through Walters’ life as an actress, playing out scenes recounting some of her most famous on-screen highlights including: Mrs Overall from Acorn Antiques, Educating Rita’s titular character, Sandra Wilkinson from Billy Elliot and Julie Walters and Friends’ famous ‘Two Soups’ sketch. Sonny appears in the Billy Elliot segment of the advert. He attends Ballet classes here at D&B every week.
