D&B are so proud to officially recognise Marvin’s achievements and commitment to the school and are thrilled that he is patron for D&B School of Performing Arts, and oversees ‘The Marvin Humes Scholarship’.
Over 20 years ago, Marvin Humes started his training here at D&B. Regularly filming through our agency in Holby City (playing Robbie Wearing), Grange Hill and Hey Mr Producer and appearing in Oliver at the London Palladium, Marvin’s first steps towards megastardom started right here.

Playing the role of Marcus Belby, in the film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, was surely the start of a very promising career for Rob Knox. It was that promise that was so tragically ended when he became a victim of knife crime – only 18 years old.
Rob had been a successful student at D&B for many years and secured numerous high profile roles through our acting agency. We are proud and honoured to be the professional custodians of The Robert Knox Bursary, which has provided an opportunity for other young people to flourish, grow and become part of the entertainment industry.
Rob’s legacy in the both the entertainment industry and at D&B will live on through the Robert Knox Bursary.
