Sophia appearing on The Sound of Music Live

The much loved and classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical will be broadcast live for the very first time here in the UK, on Sunday, December 20 from 7.30pm and we were thrilled that Sophia was cast in the production.

Based on the original stage musical with a book by Lindsay & Crouse and suggested by The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp, The Sound of Music Live! will include all of the songs from its classic score by Rodgers and Hammerstein, including How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria, Edelweiss, Do-Re-Mi, My Favourite Things, Climb Ev’ry Mountain and the title song.

So, get the mulled wine / hot milk and crisp apple strudel on, as Kara Tointon, Julian Ovenden, Maria Friedman, Alexander Armstrong and more get set to make the hills alive withThe Sound of Music Live! We have a feeling this could become one of our favourite things…
