The Launch of the Lee Proud Scholarship

D&B are absolutely over the moon to be launching a brand new scholarship! The Lee Proud scholarship is for exceptionally talented students from the North East of England.

Leading Chorographer, Lee Proud has worked on everything from big budget West End musicals to small plays around the world including London, Broadway, Sydney, Iceland and Scandinavia. He has a great link with D&B, having trained with Donna at school and choreographing for our Graduation showcase. Lee said “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured that D&B have chosen me to represent this brand new scholarship in my name and even more so because of my history and affinity with the North East of England.

“We were very grateful to have the chance to come up to Newcastle and audition so many very talented young performers – some of whom we now have the pleasure of working with next year. This was an incredible link to make with Newcastle College and I hope it’s the start of a wonderful partnership with the College and the area as a whole.”
