Can You Dance Scholarship!

Can You Dance Scholarship!

Having attended the fantastic Can You Dance events around the country for the last couple of years, we have been so impressed with the level of talent around the country. This year we visited Kent, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Norwich and we are so pleased to announce that we have awarded a full scholarship to Haydn Smart. We met Haydn in Edinburgh and scouted her during on of the jazz classes. After travelling down and auditioning amongst our other 2017 students, our panel unanimously awarded Haydn with the Can You Dance Scholarship for 2017.

Jo Goodwin, our head of jazz, who spotted Haydn in Edinburgh said, “Haydn stood out to me in the class immediately. Her technique and focus in class was so exciting and she would be an asset to D&B. We can’t wait for her to start.”

Matt Flint, the co-creator of the event and also one of our esteemed choreographers and Showase Director is so pleased that we’ve been able to offer this opportunity, “I’m thrilled that Haydn has received the CYD? Scholarship to attend D&B School of Performing Arts. It’s lovely to see the CYD? Scholarship scheme carry on giving young dancers the opportunity of high level dance training.”

We will be returning to the Can You Dance conventions to scount for more talent next year- make sure you come and say Hi!
