Jackson Laing lands the lead role in ‘The Boy in The Dress’!

Jackson’s journey with The Boy in The Dress started when he was fortunate enough to work with the RSC team developing the show, in a two week workshop during the Easter holidays.

Songs, scripts and choreography were tried and tested by a talented team which Jackson thoroughly enjoyed being part of. He was therefore delighted to go on to be offered the lead role of ‘Dennis’ in David Walliams’ debut Musical of The Boy in The Dress in Stratford upon-Avon.

Jackson is far from a novice to the big stage and lead roles! He previously played the role of ‘Bruce’ in the West End’s Matilda, which certainly would have helped prepare him for his new opportunity.

In rehearsals, Jackson got to work with David himself, and also met Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers who co-wrote the music and lyrics for the show. Jackson had an absolute ball, and to top it all off the show received some incredible reviews!
