Performing Arts Exams

UDO STREET DANCE

D&B were able to hold a UDO street dance examination session in December where we welcomed UDO Head Judge (and Boy Blue Alumni) Bruno Perrier here to our studios to examine the children. Bruno has worked in the dance and entertainment industry for 13 Years. Initially coming from a dance background, he moved on to Choreography and Movement Direction for many top UK and US music artists. This includes Labrinth, Tinie Tempah, Bebe Rexha, Rita Ora, Peter Andre and many others. He worked with them on Live Performance as well as TV.  The pupils were in such great hands! Bruno said he had a great day meeting the students and watching them dance. He said D&B students have great personality and charisma- Look out for exam results soon!

ISTD EXAMS

The announcement of Tier 4 wasn’t able to stop our planned ISTD exams or tenacious pupils! Teachers and staff (with permission from the DfE) were able to turn the session into remote exams within a days’ notice. Students who had been working so hard all year were finally able to perform their exam work. We are unbelievably proud of our students and how they adapt quickly and work to their very best of their ability under any circumstances! We are still awaiting results of ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern exams. Following this, we will send them through as soon as they have them. The remote exams worked so brilliantly that we are currently planning our next session for Easter/Summer. We know nothing can stop us!

LOOKING FORWARD

On the subject of exams, we’d also like to wish a massive GOOD LUCK to the 50 pupils taking LAMDA exams in March. And everyone working towards remote singing exams with the LCM!
