Three lead roles in West End’s Bugsy Malone

D&B Academy of Performing Arts is thrilled to have secured lead roles for three of its young actors in the critically acclaimed West End production of Bugsy Malone.

Talented young performers Vincent Finch, Rhianna Dorris and Jaydah Bell-Ricketts will be playing the roles of Fat Sam, Tallulah and Lena/Baby Face respectively when the Olivier nominated show returns to the Lyric Hammersmith for a 12 week run opening on June 24.

Set in a parodic version of Prohibition era New York, the show – directed by Olivier award-winning director Sean Holmes – sees ex-boxer Bugsy fall for aspiring singer Blousey Brown against a backdrop of warring gangster clans.

This isn’t the first time that D&B has secured a roles in the revival of this hit musical – D&B actress Jamila Ajadi made her West End debut last year as Lena/Baby Face in the 2015 production and Mark Boyle and Scott McGivern appeared in the 1997 production at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

D&B Director Bonnie Sullivan said, “We are all absolutely thrilled for Rhianna, Vincent and Jaydah who are gifted young performers. I went to the press night last year to watch Jamila and so I know this is a fantastic production with amazing choreography by Drew McOnie and featuring classic songs from Oscar-winning writer Paul Williams. We are so excited that this time the revival will feature three of our actors. It will be a fantastic experience for them.

“We are very proud of our agency clients who don’t just attain many auditions, recalls and ultimately work in the industry, but always represent D&B and themselves to the highest professional standards.”
