Evening of Drama

We hold acting in such high regard here at D&B and while students are often showcased in their Singing, Dancing and Musical Theatre performances, it was so pleasing to be able to showcase their straight acting to you this term. With more and more high-profile acting jobs coming into the agency, the need to keep pushing the acting here at the college is stronger than ever. Following auditions with the whole college, the cast was selected to perform and enjoyed regular rehearsals with James during the Autumn term.

The evening was presented in two parts, first we were presented with excerpts from the play ‘Stuff’ and the second act featured moments from ‘Lungs’. Both acts showcased the students’ wonderful acting skills and were touching and thought-provoking.

We want to say a huge thank you to James for devising the programme and directing the students throughout. We also want to congratulate the students on their professionalism and maturity in leading additional self-led rehearsals. The material was challenging and required a high level of commitment, skill and talent so well done to all students involved.
