Grace Melville – BBTA Nominee!

We are so delighted that 2021 Graduate, Grace Melville, was shortlisted as ‘Best Graduate’ at The Black British Theatre Awards. The BBTA’s are held once a year to celebrate the incredible work and achievements of black professionals within the UK theatre industry. There is an abundance of black talent across all creative fields and events like these are an amazing way to honour performers and creatives that make UK theatre happen!

Grace says: ‘Still can’t quite believe it. So unbelievably honoured to have been nominated for best recent graduate. Can’t believe my name is up there amongst such talent. Always grateful for the opportunities I have had’.

Grace has been performing in the UK tour of Six, originally joining the cast as alternate Cleves and Aragon, however she has since added Parr and Boleyn to her Queen rep! She also jetted to the join the West End cast to play Cleves alongside fellow D&B Grad, Rachel Rawlinson!

Whilst at college, Grace was the consummate hard worker and team player, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her gain recognition at these prestigious awards. Congratulations Grace!

You could be our next rising star!
