Young Actors Company Cast of 2023

Here at D&B we’re really passionate about coming up with ideas and opportunities for all of our students. Our timetable is always evolving to make sure that we’re pushing our talented pupils and setting them up for success. Over the last few years, we’ve held workshops and started new classes for students who are keen to delve deeper into a particular area of their studies including zoom workshops with alumni like Zack Morris and Matt Terry.

The Young Actor’s Company was launched in December 2020 and is now in it’s third sucessful year! In January, the cast of 2023 were auditioned and they embarked on a special programme of classes and rehearsals gearing up to a grand performance in December. The children studied a mixture of acting for both stage and screen focusing on the different qualities that go into acting for these very different mediums. They went on location and filmed scenes in parks, homes and schools with sound and camera equipment which was edited together ready for the premier here on the big screen. They also worked with James on a fantastic devised theatre piece, including improvisation, scripts and thoroughly entertaining our live audience in December.

We will be auditioning for new members of the Young Actor’s Company in January so please register your interest at reception if this is something you’d be keen to be a part of.
